The governor of North Kivu announced to reporters that of the 20 new positive cases reported in his constituency on Tuesday, May 26, 16 are from Goma town, 1 from Rutshuru area and 3 from Beni.

According to provincial authorities, the three cases recorded in Beni are truck drivers in connection with Uganda, one of whom is already isolated and cared for in Beni while the other 2 are already on their way to Kisangani, but who -Sure tells the authorities, will be excluded soon , or at their destination, because of the regional cooperation between North Kivu and Tshopo.

At the same time, Carly Nzanzu Kasivita warns that the city of Goma and even the other corners of the region that are affected, are at increased risk of litigation, if the population is not disciplined and does not obey the restrictive laws.

« Of the 476 addresses identified in the states, only 176 samples were sent and tested in the laboratory of the national biomedical research institute INRB, Kinshasa, thus confirming 20 new cases that return the highest number of positive cases in North Kivu to 35 », he explained.

In conclusion, the governor of the province reaffirms his appeal to the people of North Kivu to respect in detail the sanitary measures proposed to end the spread of the epidemic.
